Hog's Breath

Aussie's Waroeng

What did or do you eat when you are in study? As Indonesia student, mostly I ate at waroeng around my university. Waroeng tegal (Warteg), Waroeng Padang, or even waroeng pecel. So what student in another country eat when they are in study?? Alfredo said it is Hog's Breath. WOOOOOOW it sound fancy or cool right?? but when i heard his story about his study in Aussie he said Hog's Breath is just like warteg in Indonesia. There are so many Hog's Breath in Aussie, esspecially around university or college. Hog's Breath is like casual waroeng in Indonesia which everyone wear whatever they wear when they at home. the place where student hangout and make some fun with each other. Nothing fancy about it. 

As a student abroad. Alfredo wants to introduce Hog's Breath to Indonesia. first they search for a place in Bali, but most foreigner wants Bali authentic dish. So Alfredo and 5 of his friends decided to open Hog's Breath in Jakarta. Central Park is their choice to start.

Eventhough Hog's Breath is just like waroeng in Aussie, Alfredo and his friend have to buy Hog's Breath's license and match Hog's Breath's spec for their dish. ( yeah yeah yeah i know it is different) hehe

First i walked in to Hog's Breath i saw a big bar space with a high cest for drinks and big screen ( i guest they use it for Nonton Bareng when football season coming or whatever they want to watch actually) hehehe






With wooden table and chair this reataurant dominated with brown color. a bit cute ornament on their wall like license plate, flowers, paint and mini scooter, mini phone, mini gas station and some grass carpet. At first floor they use natural light which they totally had a great spot in tiberica park in Centrak Park.  At second floor, they use a bit yellow lights and make it more pub There are many sofa and many bottle for ornament. On the right wall they are hang a large blackboard for their menu and their phrase which make this resto more fun.



That day they introduce their chef, Chef Anto which control everything in the kitchen. hehe we had a kitchen tour which Chef anto told us about how they maintain their ribs from storage 'till grillied. it is fun and i had so many additional info about grilling stuff. 





For Appatizer Chef Anto served us with Nachos and Finger food delight.

Nachos from chef Anto is yummy. I like how they maintain it still crunchy even they use sour cream on it. most nashoc will be mushy and it is not nice eating nachos with a mushy texture. i like its aour cream and guacamole. It feels refreshing for appatizer. BUT I need more sour cream!!!



Finger Food Delight
This appatizer is my favorite. All my favorite dish unite in one plate!! I feel like i meet my match. hahaha
there are Chicken wings with buffalo sauce, Loaded potato which baked potato with red bean and other ingredient, chicken Tender, Salt and paper Calamari. they served it with thai sauce and honey sauce. I prefer honey sauce and my best finger food is chicken wings with buffalo sauce!!! I like how soury it taste and i suggest you to try the original one, it is yummy peps.




For Main course Chef Anto served us with Chicken Parmigiana and Ribs Eye Fillet

Chicken Parmigiana is a friend chicken fillet drizelled with bolognese sauce and served with corn, brocoli and mashed potato. 

Ribs Eye Fillet is a Grilled Rib Eye Steak with a musroom sauce nd served with corn, brocoli and mashed potato. I LOVE ITS MASHED POTATO!!  it is buttery, soft, not dried, yummy, and and and i just have to eat it and you guys try yourself. hehe





For dessert Brownies with vanilla Ice Cream

this brownie ice cream is not like other brownie. they use more like lava cake brownie without the lava sauce. or should i say the lava sauce is outside the cake. hehe they served it with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. I love their chocolate sauce and ofcourse its brownie. eventhough i got stuffed, for me dessert always has a pace in my tummy. hohoho
